My Great Grandfather, Irving or Ira Germain, was said to
have been a mariner. Date of birth unknown but probably
around 1837. In 1872 he was in Nova Scotia, Canada,
he disappeared sometime before 1881 census, never found
him after that. He left a widow and 2 sons.
If anyone is familiar or comes across this name, would
they please get in touch with me ?
