I find it rather ironic that a mere seven to ten years ago we had to do
virtually ALL of our genealogical research "on the road" at the libraries and in
courthouses, cemeteries, etc. and today we complain about ONE trip (no matter
how long a drive or how far) to gain access to what amounts to libraries
full of documents at our fingertips at home after that ONE trip. Yes, I realize
the impact of making that one trip on disabled and elderly researchers (and
even on just plain "busy" people)--but there was no other option only a few
short years ago. We've grown to expect everything to be at our fingertips
these days.
