I sure hope the reply from Ron was not expected to be abusive to me
either <g> and I did get a laugh of the type of people that can show up in a
public library.

My point about library research was not whether or not one can obtain
Ancestry at a library, but that hands on book and microfilm research gives a
different perspective from what a search engine gives.

So many times one can miss the context of an article or page in a book
when the search engine takes one directly to the name or other subject. I
can't begin to count the number of times I have looked up one name in a book
index, and while going to the page in the book, found much more useful
information on another topic or family name.

So I'm not suggesting we not use search engines, but that we not give up
looking at hard copies of books either. There is an advantage to each.
