SEWARD
Mrs. Edith Godwin, wife of W. H. Godwin died last Thursday morning, after a
long illness. She was buried Friday at the family cemetery in the presence of
a large crowd of friends and relatives. She leaves a husband and six
children, the youngest, a babe three-months-old, to mourn her death. We
extend our sympathy to the bereaved family, and may the God of all grace
comfort and save them along life's uneven ways.

TRIBUTE TO A GOOD WOMAN
Died at her home at Seward, Ga., on April 10, instant, Mrs. Editha Godwin, nee
Hall, beloved wife of M. H. Godwin.

Deceased was born in Montgomery County, Georgia - near where she died -
November 24, 1873, being under thirty years of age at the time of her death.
she married Mr. Godwin about 12 years ago, since which time she resided with
her husband two years in Florida, one year at High Springs, and one year at
Morristown. About two years ago Mr. godwin returned with his family from
Morristown, this state, for his former home, and birth place of his wife,
Seward, Ga., and was living there when the grim monster entered his home and
with rentless hand took therefrom a loved and loving wife and mother, leaving
six little orphans--three boys and three girls--from three months to eleven
years old.
