Ted:

I am forwarding the information you sent to the list so that others can
benefit from it, both now and in the future.

Thanks for your offer to send information about your family. However, the
only members of your family that I am keeping track of are the two actual
children of Hans Michael and their spouses. I would be interested in
anything you have on them. For instance, do you know the names of George
CONDOR, Jr.'s, parents? I'll send you my mailing address in a separate
e-mail. Let me know how much I owe you for copying and mailing costs.

Thanks in advance.

I found the information about Susan Goodnight being George Conder, Jr.'s
wife in the Conder Genealogy. Part of that genealogy is quoted in an
article in the history of Washington Co. KY. I don't think the Goodnight
researchers were aware of this for years. One thing that made it
difficult was that on Peggy Conder's marriage license, her approval was by
her uncle Jacob Conder rather than her father. John H. Goodnight's father
Henry sighned for him. Most of the people I knew who were researching my
branch of the Goodnights passed away without publishing anything but they
did give me some good data such as the marriage certificates for various
members of the family. On person, Bert Robbins, who died before I ever
started on this had sent around a typed article called "The Goodnight
Family of Southwest Missouri." His mother was a grand daughter of John H.
Goodnight and gave him a lot of first-hand information on her family. I
could mail you a copy of his article.

I was glad you provided information about Henry's land in NC. I only have
a deed showing when he bought part of his older brother's share of their
father's land in KY. Duck river is now in Maury Co. TN. The family was
around there until about 1812 when they moved on into Giles Co. There are
some land records mentioning John in Maury Co. I also have typed copies of
petitions to establish Maury Co. signed by John H. Goodnight and Henry
Goodnight, Jr. Henry, Jr. went to Alabama and Arkansas. I can just send
you my wordprocessing file for all I have typed up on this family.

Ted
