In the Lancaster Marriage Bonds 2 Feb 1716, I have found a Joseph Laver of Lethem? p. Kirkham . Drummer mar. Margaret Tower spr. Bdsm: Robert Harris of Co Galoway. gent witn: Ja Fenton, John Smith.

This is the Joseph Lavar born Litham1691.

Searches of fiche records either side of above dates show no sign of siblings or other relatives at all.

If he was a drummer, which regiment could he have been with and are there records?
Were Lancashire at war with anyone at the time and could he therefore have travelled out of the area?

Ideas welcome.
