Sorry I didn't respond when you first wrote. I am using the latest version of TNG with a revised version of their template 4:

I also use RM and own ver. 4 but have not migrated to it and probably never will as RM 3 works fine for my purposes.

I use RM 3 with 168,000 people in my database which I periodically export to gedcom and then import into TNG for the web. I no longer use some of the RM options like merging people as the database is too large, returns too many results -- I'm just more careful about what I accept from people than I used to be.

The web site is NOT an ONS -- I'm still working on doing that and, when I do, I intend to have an entirely separate TNG install for that purpose. My problem is I've not found any suitable platform for storing the information for the ONS that won't be in the genealogy (TNG) database. (I am also in the middle of changing hosts, which will be a long involved process.)
