Searching for William Henry Gordon who arrived in Jones County, Ga. around
1800. Met and married Leah Palmer near Round Oak. His tombstone gives
birth as May 7, 1780. Oral family history says he was from Wilkes Co., NC
and related to Gen. John B.Gordon, C.S.A.

Is William Henry the son of Robert Gordon from Powhatan, VA who died in 1810?

Would appreciate any information on this GGGGGrandfather.
