Looking for the parents of Obediah Gordon.
I have MY Gordon from VA as Obediah Gordon. He married Gadberry, Elizabeth
on 16 Dec 1784 in Henrico County, Virginia. His Sons, William and Obediah
Jr, moved to Kentucky: William in Shelby Co., KY and Obediah in Ohio Co.,
KY.
I'm in the same shape as you about Obediah's parents.. I can find nothing
on him before his marriage. From Kentucky Genealogy and Biography, Volume
III: McDowell; pp 142 under William A. Gordon, it says: "His (William's)
father was a native of Scotland, immigrated to America and died in Virginia
in 1800."
Any Connection to any of your gordons?
