Searching for parents, siblings of George Lorenzo Gould born February 11, 1809 (census states New York birthplace) died February 4, 1872, Buffalo, Kansas. Wife was Charlotte Amantha Hensley born August 24, 1810 (again census has New York as her birthplace). They lived in the area of Watertown, New York from 1832 when their first child Henry was born until approximately 1850 when they moved westward through Wisconsin, Illinois and into Kansas. George and Charlotte lived at Buffalo, Kansas until their deaths in 1872 and 1875 respectively.

I have traced them westward through marriage of Henry to Ellen A. Lee in Green Bay, Door County, Wisconsin in 1853, their daughter Lucinda Gould (born dec. 20, 1840)[ md. John M. Campbell]; attended school in Galesburg, IL and was a teacher in Buffalo, KS. George and his family are listed as early pioneers of Kansas in the 1855 Kansas census. Other children in their family were Emma R. Gould (b. 1833) [md. Fred Burton] ; Laura Gould (b. 1835) [md. Richard Lark or Leek];Chester (b. May 21, 1842) [md. Sara Amelia Welch]; Sarah born approx. 1845 and Cynthia.

In the 1860 census, Henry and Ellen are living in Fort Scott, Bourbon county, Kansas. Listed in the census with them is an Isaac Gale (age 30) from New York. I believe that the families may have been related or at least were friends back in New York, as there are some marriages between Gould and Gale families on the internet.

Any help or information would be appreciated.
