Hi Gerry and Gary,
I read your message regarding the Graham family. I am grasping at
straws, attempting to find a tie with the family of Elizabeth Graham.
My records indicate that she was born about 1763 in Ireland and married
Barnabas Slaven (Sr) about 1784. the story passed down through the family
is that she had two brothers and they were Lairds (Land owners.) They were
not happy about her marrying Barnabas who was a weaver. Barnabas and
Elizabeth with Barnabas (Jr) and Andrew migrated to America, their third
child was born January 1793 in Pennsylvania, which would mean that they
arrived here before 1793. They were in Pennsylvania for a period before
they moved and settled in Poland, Mahoning County, Ohio after 1815.
They had six children: Barnabas (Jr), Andrew, Margaret, Nancy,
George C. and Mary. It appears that their family remained around Poland
for the balance of their lives.
I know that it is a shot in the dark, but stranger things have
happened. Maybe we might make a contact. Many thanks!

The following is a message from Clyde Graham in which I wrote asking if he knew any of "Linda's" Grahams from KY & MO. I have since lost Linda's address and am hoping she sees this:
I have several George Graham's.........
George William Graham was born in North Carolina in 1788. On 19
August,1831 he married Mary Ann Kelly who was born in Tennessee in 1805 in
Madison Co.MO. They had seven children-- Anne E, Mary A.,George Franklin,
William B., Lively Bathsheba, Harriet Artamissa, and William Berry..
I have quite a few names in this datbase..
George is listed in the 1830 Madison County, Missouri Census as
living in German Township. He died before 1860, as Mary Ann Kelly) Graham is
shown on the 1860 Wayne County, Missouri Census..
If "Linda" feels this is the George she is looking for, I will be
most happy to send his family history to her, if she will send me her snail
address. I haven't learned how to send Roots3 information over the modem..
I also have an extensive file on William Graham who married Sarah
Skaggs. If she wants this, I will mail it to her also..
