I am looking for information on Mathew GRAHAM from Scotland. He
immigrated to America from Scotland in 1700s. He may have come with a
sibling (c1740/60). He may have married while in Phila. area and had
children there.
Mathew's will from 1786 shows names of Hester as wife, 2 daughters --
Elizabeth Cetrin/Catrin and an Ann. Also has a Zacharia (unknown
relationship). He had these children probably before migrating to
Alleghy Co. in c1770s. There he had 2 sons named Mathew Jr. and
William.
(Purely speculation: Hesther may have been a 2nd wife. Hesther could
also have been an Esther Whitlock.)
Mathew served in the Revolutionary War. Family information handed down
says from Phila. area. Had a Col or Cpt. John Irwin listed as executor
on his will.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks a bunch,
Deanna Larson
