INDIANA MARRIAGES, 1845-1920 (W.P.A.)
The Indiana Marriage Index is one of the most complete collections of
marriages
created by the Works Progress Administration. The WPA began to index vital
records county-by-county for the entire state, but the agency was abolished
before the indexing was completed. This database indexes marriages for 71 of
the
counties. Taken from copies of the original works from the WPA, these records
will prove useful for those seeking ancestors in Indiana.
