I have just received the Civil War military records of my
gg-grandfather David W. Graves.
Big surprise - contrary to all other info I have gathered, his
birthplace is listed as Cherry Valley, NY (now Otsego Co., west of
Albany), birthdate 1819 (possibly, from another source, Oct 19,
1819).

Would anyone have any info on this David W. Graves?
Would anyone have any info on Cherry Valley, NY, including how to
obtain VR for 1819?
