I've gotten a lot of information from my membership at Ancestry.com. You
have to be aware that there is a good deal of erroneous information out
there no matter where you look, but it's a good place to get a lot of info.
to start your search.

The Ancestry site covers a wide variey of resources not readily available to
me. You can subscribe for 3 months at a time. However, be aware that your
membership is automatically renewed when it expires so you have to tell them
to stop it when you're done.

A free site to check out is rootsweb.com. It has a search engine
that checks a number of sites thereby saving a lot of time.
