Dear All,
I know this one is a shot in the dark but I have two
pairs of WW1 medals. If they are of any significance to anyone let me know,
and I'm sure we can come to an arrangement. Also I would be very
interested to hear from anyone with any specific info.
Firstly I have a Victory Medal and General Service
Medal
awarded to 73614 A.L.CPL. W.G.S.GUY. 28 CAN. INF. All I know about
this
gentleman is that he was the next door neighbour of my maternal
grandparents. He survived the War and died of a heart attack sitting
on
his front wall in Hayfield Road, St. Mary Cray, Kent. This would have
been in the 50's.
Secondly, I have the 1914-15 star and Victory Medal
awarded to 11311 PTE H.McKivragan CHES. R(eg). I know nothing about
this
gentleman but would be interested if anyone else does. His medals
turned
up on a street market stall in Brighton in the late 70's and have been
in my loft since.
Regards to you all. Still searching for my ggf,
Edward
