He might be Temp. Maj. Frank Harvey Bowring, King's Liverpool Regiment
(attached 9th Battalion) who was killed in action 28th August, 1918,
aged 39.

This officer was born in Newfoundland and lived in Sefton, Liverpool.
He is buried in St. Martin Calvaire British cemetery, St Martin sur
Cojeul, Northern France.

As Maurice Burns has already discovered, there is also a Capt. Francis
Stephen Bowring of the 22nd Punjabis. He died on 22nd November, 1915,
aged 37. He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Basra
Memorial, Iraq.

I hope this helps.

Best wishes -

Tom
