I have just returned from a day a the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. It
has been the annual open day - usually the second Saturday in July anyone in
the area, this is not to be missed.
I came across a tent with information regarding the Society for preservation
of war memorials. I chatted with the people there and was told that
although the Commonwealth War Graves Commission looks after those abroad,
nobody was looking after those in UK.
The society has a web site and if anyone knows of a war memorial in need of
attention they will be pleased to hear of it.
