Hi Carol,
According to my list of 361 Military Executions 1914-18, there
are 2 Swain(e)s listed.
Their details are below
Pte J Swain 39463 5/Royal Berks ( he is listed as a Conscript) Desertion
Executed 11/08/1918
Dvr WJ Swaine 86872 54 Battery RFA ( he is listed as a Reservist) Desertion
Executed 09/06/ 1916
