I would also be interested in the answer to this question. My
grandfather
enlisted aged 16 to fight in WWI, he was gassed in the trenches in
France,
and was taken prisoner when he was 17.
Whilst in the camp he was ordered to fill a bucket with water and in
defiance
threw the bucket down, which hit a German officer, who ordered my
grandfather
to be shot.
He was about to be shot when a senior German officer stopped the
execution,
because he was just a boy.

I have a couple of ancestors in the British Army who were captured in
France and subsequently held in Germany during WWI. I am interested in
finding out more about what life in camps was like, the conditions,
where the camps were situated, etc. I have tried searching the net for
info without success and would welcome details of any sources either
on-line or in printed form. (Of particular interest is the camp at
Giessen).
Any info would be appreciated.
Many thanks,
Paul.
