I would just like to express my thanks to all those who replied to my
request for information sources regarding the above.

After a more in-depth search of the internet I found a couple of good
sources myself and thought I would share all the solutions with the list in
case anyone
else is interested in the subject:

Printed Form:
=========
1) Channel 4 documentary (broadcast 31st Aug 2000), "Prisoners of the
Kaiser" (booklet available for £3 see www.channel4.co.uk/nextstep)

2) Book (to be published Oct 2000), "Prisoners of the Kaiser" by Richard van
Emden

Internet Sources:
===========
1) "My Four Years in Germany" by James W Gerard (American Ambassador to
Germany) - good info on conditions in camps as he inspected many in his
capacity as Ambassador. www.ukans.edu/~libsite/wwi-www/Gerard/4yrs3

2) "My Experiences as a Soldier & Prisoner of War in Germany 1918" by Rev.
Arthur Beaumont - interesting memoirs with details of capture and camp life.
http://members.netscapeonline.co.uk/philcurme/bro1.htm

3) "The Diary of Edgar John Dungey" - very interesting diary of a PoW in
1918.
http://members.tripod.co.uk/billdungey/dadsdiary.html

4) "Letters from the Great War" - Extensive Letters and diary including many
details of camp life and conditions.
www.madasafish.com/~fjgent/pow/

5) "Prisoner's Sad Letters" - Extracts from a couple of letters that escaped
the German censor's attention telling of the hardships of
camp life. www.guardiancentury.co.uk/1910-1919/Story/0,6051,99308,00.html

I would still welcome info of any other sites/sources that anybody knows
of.

Cheers,
Paul.
