Greetings from Australia!

I am seeking any information about the South Lancs Regiment. I have a gentleman called Herbert F. Smith, who was a member of this regiment in WW1. He actually lived in Cheshire at the time.

Is there some sort of records list that I could get hold of? I guess from it, I could get his age at the time of enlisting as there is very little I know about this gentleman and anything would be appreciated.
