Hello there.

The Suffolk County Council Roll of Honour (
http://www.suffolkcc.gov.uk/libraries_and_heritage/sro/roh/ ) is a good
indicator as those named are often listed with their village of residence
rather than their place of birth. I searched for Wattisfield and found 14
names, 3 LANDYMOREs among them.

Full results below. May I recommend this site to anyone with Suffolk WW1
connections. Some other local councils have similar facilities, try putting
the county name + cc.gov.uk in the web address & see what you can find.

> In 1942, as a ten year old boy, I was evacuated from London for a short
time. We were sent to the village of Wattisfield in Suffolk and it was
there, nearly three years into WW2, that I first realised the enormous
tragedy of The Great War. On the village green in Wattisfield there was a
memorial to the village men who had died between 1914-18. The list of names
was about a dozen (it was a very small village) but what struck me then, and
has remained deeply etched in my memory ever since, was that the majority of
those names were from the same family. The surname was Landymore (I
apologise if I haven't got the spelling quite right). I wonder if any lister
living in that area can tell me exactly how many of that unfortunate family
perished.
