Hi

I have just joined this list in the hope that I may find out a bit more about the places my father was posted to during WW1. His name was John Ferguson JOHNSTONE and he joined the force in Nov 1917. He had put his age up by a year and was just 18 at the time. He was a rifleman in the New Zealand Rifle Brigade.

He arrived in Liverpool on 31 July 1918 then went to BROCTON. A month later he was sent to ETAPLES , France. He was with "A" Coy. Early October 1918, he was wounded and sent back to London to a Military Hospital in ENDELL ST then transferred to BROCKHURST. Five months later, March 1919, he was on his way home again on the "SS RARANGA".

Any information about any of the places where he was stationed or the ship he came home on, would be gratefully recieved.

Many thanks
Carlma
