Dear Listers

WILFRED ASHLEY COOPER CHAPMAN, son of OLIVER
GEORGE CHAPMAN and ALICE SARAH HANNAH GREENE,
evidently died either during active service or from wounds acquired
during the Great War. He may have served in France after leaving
from South Africa to join the war in England.

Birth date unknown but probably during the late 1880's or early
1890's in South Africa. A brother to ROLAND BRISTOW
CHAPMAN.

I have surfed some war websites but his name is not recorded as
far as I can find. My father does have a letter written by his father,
ROLAND BRISTOW CHAPMAN, b 14 February 1888 d 11 May
1950 in South Africa, mentioning himself and WILFRED (brothers)
in action in the war together.

Any pointers please?
