Hi Listers,

At last I've been able to track down what happened to my Cpl Alexander
CLARKE.

His location listed on the 'Soldiers Who Died' CD is 'Depot'. I learned
from the list, that this probably meant he was actually at home, due to
injuries received, but was on the payroll of the Depot.

I've now managed to obtain his death certificate, which tells me he died in
the Military Hospital, Squires Gate, St Annes on Sea.

He was awarded the Military Medal, & I would like to know what for. Would
the Sherwood Foresters Regimental Museum have records of Military Medals
awarded?

Any help appreciated.
