Terry,

A bit of a complicated task, even for the more unusual name combinations.

There are 184 entries for men born in Cradley, Herefordshire, Cradley
Worcestershire and Cradley Heath, Staffordshire. Of those only Norman
Henry WILLIAMS fits see below.

There are 99 entries for men who enlisted at Halesowen. None of your names
match.

There are 116 entries for men who enlisted at Old Hill,
Staffordshire. [There were 98 men recorded as born there.] None of your
names match.

There are 544 entries for men who enlisted at Stourbridge. There were a
George GREEN and a George JONES (see below), otherwise no names match.

Richard Bachelor

There are three Richard BATCHELOR entries, none matching. There are three
BACHELOR entries, none Richard and none matching.

George Edward Corfield

There are two George CORFIELD entries; one from Much Wenlock, enlisted
Ironbridge, the other from Leicestershire.

Harry Davis

There are 37 H, Harry or Harold DAVIS entries. Several from Staffordshire
or Worcestershire, but no clear matches.

George Green

There are 124 George GREEN entries. Of these the nearest is:

10551 Private George Green, 4th Battalion, The Worcestershire Regiment;
born and resident Kinver Staffs, enlisted Stourbridge; Killed in Action 6
Aug 1915 on Gallipoli.

George Jones

There are 237 George JONES entries, of which a possible match is:

16/2033 Private George JONES, 10th Battalion, The Royal Warwickshire
Regiment (formerly in Royal Field Artillery); born Bromford, Herefordshire,
enlisted Stourbridge, resident Wolverley, Worcestershire; Killed in Action
18 Nov 1916 in France and Flanders.

George Reece

There are 3 George REECE entries, of which the nearest was born in
Bridgenorth, Salop.

Harold Reece

There are 3 Harold REECE entries, none with any nearby connections.

Benjamin Weaver

The only Benjamin WEAVER entry is from Stockport, Cheshire.
Norman Henry Williams

There are 5 Norman WILLIAMS entries of which the best match is:

3211 Private Norman Henry WILLIAMS, 1st Battalion, Welsh Guards; born
Cradley, Staffs, enlisted Kidwelly, Carmarthen; Killed in Action 5 Aug 1917
in France and Flanders.

Wishing you a Good New Year in 2002.

Yours aye,
