Dear Phil,
I've mentioned Lt MORGAN's book to the Honorary Secretary of the MGC Old
Comrades Association and am aware that your book is currently being written.
I may be prepared to provide the MGC OCA with a full photocopy of the
written pages of the book, but three years ago I had the experience of
donating good material including photographs and personal details to your
Enquiries Officer. The donation was never acknowledged by him and he has
never replied to various messages requesting Battalion or Company details
for my own grandfathers MGC service in 1917. I've now given up on it as a
waste of time. You and I have corresponded on this before.
A little give and take is called for when it comes to information and I am
reluctant to see this new source information disappearing into the same
black hole as my last stuff did. A little negotiation my well be in order.
