Tom and Ken
The 2/7th Royal Warwickshire Regt was in fact involved at the attack at
Fromelles, assaulting to the right of the formation of the 182nd British
Brigade. D Coy Right, C Coy Left, B coy support, A Coy reserve, The
battalion war diaries of the 2/7th Royal Warwickshire Regt hold some
quite concise information about this action.

Ken - Royal Warwickshire Regimental Museum, St John's House, Warwick,
CV34
4NF.

2/7th Bn suffered about 80 fatal casualties during an attack at
Fromelles
19/7/16 (troops left the front line via open sally-ports, upon which the
Germans had not unexpectedly trained machine guns) - but I'm afraid I
cant
confirm that they were actually in that area on the 17th - you probably
need
to see what the war diary says.
