Hello Gene

I'm afraid your enquiry is outside of the list's area of expertise. The
Great War refers to the First World War, 1914-1918. Your enquiry would be
served by the World War Two list. Can one of our members who belongs to
that list point Gene in the right direction re subscribing to this list? I
do not have the details to hand.

says --status ---BURIED--(does that his remains are there ?He also has a
grave site and head stone in Bentonsport Iowa .my brother and I were there
when they had the services for him in the summer of 1944--we picked up the
shell casings from the salute to him.we were just young kids then .we would
like to know anything about him ---about his outfit what they did and what
happened to him .and how he was killed .the story that went around the
family was that he was a glider pilot or a pilot in a C-47 or some other
type of aircraft .if no one can help on this ,mabey you can tell me where to
go to find out .THANK YOU VERY MUCH-!
