7th Bn London Regiment attacked Gressaire Wood with the 2nd Battalion 131st
US Infantry Regt 9/8/18, the British battalion going into action with just
17 Officers and 360 OR's (and mustering only 3 / 60 respectively after the
action). That's a not untypical strength for a British battalion about this
time, which puts things into perspective - thanks for that.
