Subject: [WW1] Steam in WW1
Date: Wed, 8 Oct 2003 06:26:34 +0100
I am interested in the role of Steam transport in WW1.
I understand a certain number of steam lorries etc were used as support near
the front line, also there were narrow gauge steam railways installed for
moving ammunition etc.
I have managed to buy one book on the subject on eBay. Do any of our
learned members know of any source information - web sites - videos - books
etc I would be most grateful for any information.
Many thanks Alan Osborn
