records from Ottawa. I am finding it a bit confusing he enlisted on 14th
March 1917 at the age of 35 at Saskatoon , Sask. and left Halifax on 17
April 1917 in Canada in Canadian Expeditionary Forces 232 nd BN Sask Ret.
then landed in England 29 th of April 1917 and entered with 18th Res. Bn.
then arrived in France on 21st Sept. 1917 with 4th Canadian Infantry
Works. Now I am kind of assuming that because he had 2 previous years
experience in Royal Engineer's before coming to Canada this is why he was
put in Inf. Works. There is so much to work through here. Has anyone got any
good links for me to look on. I was given some a few weeks earlier but due
to some computer problems I lost them.He was discharged 12 June 1919 coming
home on ship Metegama landing in Quebec.
