Sadly, the death of the last known Canadian veteran who fought at Vimy Ridge was announced this week. Clifford Holliday served with the 43rd Battalion and was wounded twice. He enlisted as a 16 year old Bugle Boy, though he had never touched,and never did touch, a bugle. He was 105 years old. There are now only eight known Canadian veterans alive.
