Hi List,
Does anyone know anything about Krupp shell detonators (the brass nose cone on the end of the shell).

I was told that the German arms manufacturer Krupp had the World Wide Patent for detonators and that Britain and the allies manufactured the detonators under licence from them for use against them in WW1.

At the end of the war Krupp successfully sued the British Government for royalties for the amount of shells used based on the number of dead Germans.....

Did I dream this or is it true....
