This is the title of a new book by Peter Barham. In it he surveys the
'treatment' - medical, social and governmental meted out to soldiers of
the Great War who came home with mental problems. In many cases he names
names and case histories.

He also reveals a rather interesting new source for WWI research and
that is the Benefits Agency File Store at Nelson which holds records of
pensions and pension claims for the period.
