I am trying to find info. regarding a Arthur James. He had three children, May James born Aug. 13th 1910 Smethwick, Arthur James born Oct. 18th 1911 Smethwick, and Frederick James born Nov. 25th 1913 Smethwick. Arthur James' occupation was Hawker, Labourer, Outdoor Porter. His wife was Beatrice James(Price). I have not been able to find a marriage for Arthur & Beatrice anywhere in the Birmingham area. Arthur was supposed to have vanished sometime during W W 1. Is there anyway he could be traced if by chance he fought in the War, or maybe he was a contentious objector?
