Judith - and the Devil is in the detail ! - The heading on your mails says
"Royal Scots Fusiliers", but Arthur King didn't serve with then, as his CWGC
and SDITGW database entries show - he served with 13th Battalion Royal
Scots. The Royal Scots were the 1st Regiment of Foot and the Royal Scots
Fusiliers were the 21st Regiment of Foot. Entirely different regiments.

The 13th Bn R Scots suffered over 100 fatalities on Aug 22nd 1917 in
fighting following the tail-end of the Battle of Langemark, part of the "3rd
Ypres" campaign.
