Mr. Williams, the Greek Orthodox Church in Galveston might be able to get the
names of some of the parishioners if they had sacraments performed, that is
marriages, baptisms, burials etc. In the beginning the churches were a little
autonomous, that is they kept their own records, later as the church became
larger here in the states, records were more centralized. SOmewhere on a dusty
shelf there may be a parish record book with the names in it so it would be a
good idea to contact the church and explain to the priest or secretary what
you are looking for.
