My husbands family -- 3 brothers, George, Pantele, Panyoitis came to US in 1898 but were denied entrance due to Panyotis being ill, so they went to Montreal, Canada where they had an uncle-- either Stinius or Gerasamos. the brothers worked in the sugar beet factory processing sugar., In 1903 Pantele (later known as Peter) went back to Kranida, Greece, Pelopenese pensulia and returned with his younger brother Basile ( later known as William). The brothers stayed in Montreal until around 1906 and then immigrated to Colorado in USA where they worked in the sugar beet fields. Panyotis must have died in Montreal as he did not come to the US with them.

In 1915 Peter went back to Greece and married Evangelina Horafopolous bringing her back to US along with Peter's sister, Hrisanthe Stinus Fostini who had married Alex Foster of LaJunta, CO and Peter's Mother, E Katrina Stinus (Gerasimo, daughter of George Gerasimo). The family name on the ships listing is Stiny.

Sure would like information on any other family members in Greece.
