A new update was added to the file today from Claudia Burt Green.
This added 58 NEW green's.

The Green file is getting huge! Claudia sent me 184 names and the merge
using FTM took 10 hours. I start these at night and go to bed.
However I think all FTM users should scream loud and long at this slow
performance from an "Award Winning" program.

I have added a new feature to help those of you that cannot download
the GEDCOM because of its size. This will allow downloading of ANY SIZE
file. Internet Explorer and Netscape will work just fine. Other browsers
I do not know. Just scroll down the Green page to "The GEDCOM" area and
you will see the "Click Here" DO IT. This uses FTP (File Transfer
Protocol)
which is faster than WWW downloading which uses ( ? protocol ).

A tip for users of ANY genealogy software.
I removed some of these but there are still some in my files.
Example: John Green Sr.
John Green Jr.
The examples will store in your file with surnames of Sr. Jr.
Obviously they will not insert into your pedigree.
Sr. Jr. MD PHd etc. are "TITLES" and should be entered as such.
DO NOT put them on the name line.
Here is how to fix them. Do a search for SR JR etc. and go to any name
that
has the title on the name line. Remove the title from the name line.
Then find out how to enter a title and put it there.
(I'm sorry but you may have to read the manual for the 1st time) (GRIN)
