The Richard GRIFFIN who married Mary GREEN (my 7-great grandparents) had
baptized a son (Ralph) in 1725 and another son (John) in 1727 in Bristol
Parish, Prince George Co., VA. Thus, this Richard was a generation older than
John's son, Richard.

I believe that John GRIFFIN who died in 1743/1744 may have been an older
brother to Richard GRIFFIN who married Mary GREEN.

Everyone working on this line is stuck at the same place. I have seen
some tantilizing clues that suggest that Richard Griffin and Mary Green
are from Henrico County, VA. (found Griffin and Green families of the
right time) - but Henrico's published records are scanty.

Sorry this is so long. Can you search through your records and see if we are
on the right track?
