Hello

I'm researching the following:

1. JAMES1 GREENWOOD was born Abt. 1778, and died 1831 in Sydney.
He married ANN GARDINER.

Children of JAMES GREENWOOD and ANN GARDINER are:
2.i.JOHN2 GREENWOOD, b. Abt. 1805; d. 24 October 1872,
Araluen.
ii.JAMES GREENWOOD, b. Abt. 1807.
3.iii.WILLIAM GREENWOOD, b. Abt. 1812, Pennant Hills; d.
30 June 1867, Braidwood.

James, Ann and their two children, John and James emigrated as free
settlers to New South Wales, Australia on the ship "Friends" in 1811.
James snr was the overseer at Canterbury Farm, a government farm near
Ashfield during the 1820s, and seems to have had a farming background.

The "Friends" sailed from London with 99 females convicts on board under
Captain Ralph.

We have been attempting to find out where they originated from in
England- they don't show up in the IGI or any other records discovered
to date, nor are there any details of their origins in any of the
documentation here.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

regards,
