I do not believe we should repeat specific lineage as fact without some
evidence of ancestry. Case in point is claim that James Greer (1627-1688) who
immigrated to Baltimore was a son of Sir James Grier. How about "some think"
or "possibly" or "may have been," etc? Frankly, based on the little
information available, I have serious questions about this alleged
relationship.
