Subject: I find no Moses Griersons, at all.
Date: Mon, 09 Feb 1998 13:05:53 +0000
Hello list:
I find no one by the name of Moses Grierson in all of the Grierson works. I
thought about that, checked and was a little bit surprized. I also find no one
by the name of Aquilla in the Grierson family, not one. These names are
strictly of Grier, Greer origin. As I understand it, the name is indigenous to
the USA as well, having never been found or cited as such in the old country.
Interesting! What was it about North America that or the surrounding culture
that fostered these new names?
A KIND THANK YOU to everyone who has contributed today and prior to today.
I appreciate all of the warm comments and the hard work, & dedication to
detail. Many thanks. Are we having fun yet...?
