Arthur Ross Purchase


Ross Purchase age 63, passed away suddenly on October 21st at his home in Denver, Colorado. He is survived by his beloved wife Jeanette, and devoted children Donna, Bob (Dawn) and Jim (Rebekah). Predeceased by his brothers John and Gregory. Ross also leaves behind his brother Gerald (Lois), sister Helen (Bob) Gaynor, sisters-in-law Dorothy Purchase, Bertha Grierson, Marguerite (Bob) Stefaniuk and brothers-in-law Dave (Jan) Christensen and Mervyn Grierson. As well as many cherished nieces, nephews and cousins in Canada, United States and England.

Born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Ross graduated from the University of Winnipeg in 1962 and began a 37 year career in the Mortgage and Investment field, with the Great-West Life Assurance Co. eventually bringing him and his family to Denver in 1999 as Vice-President in the Investment Division. Always a devoted father and husband Ross cherished the time he spent coaching his children¹s sports teams, serving as a cub scout Akala, camping and traveling with his family. Always an avid golfer Ross spent many hours on the links with his brothers, friends and family both at Elmhust Golf & Country Club in Manitoba and Perry Park Golf & Country Club in Colorado. He also enjoyed many hours at his cottage in Nopiming Park, Manitoba, cross-country skiing, canoeing, fishing, picking blueberries and sharing numerous cribbage games with family and friends. All the people whose lives he touched: family, friends, business associates and neighbors will miss his quick wit, ready smile an!

Join us in remembering his remarkable life on Saturday, October 25th at 11:00 a.m. at the Good Shepherd Episcopal Church, 8545 E. Dry Creek Road, Centennial. In lieu of flowers, if friends so wish donations may be made to the American Alzheimer¹s Society, American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
