Mrs. Lily Booth, aged 75, was given a reward at Knightbridge Crown Court, in London, yesterday for chasing a would-be thief.
She and a passer-by cornered MICHAEL GRIERSON, after he attacked her and her daughter, aged 55, while trying to steal their handbags in St. John's Wood, High Street.
Judge Friend jailed Grierson, a railwayman, of Willesden for none (9) months after he admitted attempted theft.
