I am sharing a this because I thought it was profound and beautiful. I gave it the name of Friendship's Chain, but it was written by the author of The Voyage of the Symmetry. We now have eight (8) working web pages.

Friendship's Chain - [Voyage of the Symmetry]

Ye misty banks, ye foggy hills, ye cloud covered mountains of our country, have you arrayed yourselves in your sable weeds, out of compliment ot our feelings; for sure the strongest links of friendship's chain riveted in our hearts are upon the rack? Must we bid you adieu? We will bear you in our Breasts. We will look to the South.

We will court your forms in distant climes. Our present children will prattle your names, and our future offspring shall learn your songs. When we have passed the Sun, when we have found what we may call a new heaven and a new earth, we will hold you in remembrance, and a third part of Earth's circumference shall not separate you from us, even when there, (if we ever get there) our friendship shall operate; our mutual correspondence will demonstrate that our reciprocal Love is immortal.
