My request is for information anyone might have on Hannah GRIMES-SUTTON, b
1797, County Carlow, Ireland, m. Joseph SUTTON, b. 1790, County Carlow,
Ireland. Joseph & Hannah came to the USA sometime before 1818, since their
oldest child, Nancy SUTTON-WOLTZ, was born in 1818, VA and their oldest son,
Thomas SUTTON b. 1820, VA. I have information of their migration westward to
Ohio, then to Illinois in 1854 where Joseph died in Lee County, IL in 1874 and
Hannah died there in 1880. My line continues through their son William SUTTON,
b. 1834, Hocking Co. OH, m. Electa Belle CHAPIN-SUTTON b. 1838, Medina Co. OH.
m. 1867 in Harmon Township, Lee County, IL. William & Electa had 4 children
Arthur b. 1868, Lee Co., IL d. 1870, Lizzie Electa SUTTON-MARS, Tal Chapin
SUTTON and my Grandfather Harry Hamilton SUTTON, b. Feb 2, 1873, Harmon
Township, Lee Co., IL, m. Nettie FITHIAN-SUTTON b. Sept 24, 1884 in Helena,
Johnson Co. Nebraska, my dad Murl Delbert SUTTON, b. Dec 14, 1917 in Wolbach,
Nebraska.
