will help someone and help us in return.

Dear Marlene,
We have come home from MO & have some more info we're trying to sift
thru. We stopped in St. Louis & saw Ken's 1st cousin, Barbaree Grizzell
Lyon. She let us bring home an album to copy. It has mostly
Grizzell pictures from modern times plus pages copied from an old Bible
(Winfield Scott's immediate family info). She said when we get back there
again, she will show us a closet full of albums. What they contain we don't
know. In the back of the album we borrowed is a page with notes on it in
Barbaree's handwriting. ( I had not met Barbaree before & Ken hadn't seen
her since he was about 7). She is 73, a chipper lady whose husband is almost
an invalid. She wants to help us. .

She used to write or call but hasn't in 2 - 3 years.

We're copying everything & going to send the album back so she can take it to
the Grizzell reunion at Lebanon MO in July. We've already been to MO twice
this yr. & can't see going back in July. There aren't many old Grizzells
left, & probably they will not go to the reunion, anyway. Also, most of them
don't know too much genealogy. We do have some addresses of some who MAY
know a little about the past. We will be contacting them. And we will try
to find out why Barbaree wrote these notations (above) & glued the paper in
the back of this album. Notice the names look as if they fit in with that
working line of Grizzells you sent us May 24.
